Hold The Antibiotics, McDonald's

Dear McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook,

When antibiotics are overused by industrial farms, it increases the likelihood that bacteria will develop resistance to our medicines. Already, at least 23,000 Americans die from antibiotic-resistant infections every year, and if we don't take action, experts warn we could be headed for a "post-antibiotic era".

By no longer serving chicken raised on medically important antibiotics, McDonald's spurred Subway, KFC and others to take steps as well. McDonald's can continue to be a leader of industry-wide change to protect public health by expanding its commitment to include beef and pork.
